ICYMI: The Law Offices of William K. Goldfarb in the news!

If you or someone you know was on board that school bus in Lugoff, SC, where several students were burned, you’ll want to pay close attention to this.

Our law firm was sought out by local media to provide insight into this case. That’s because of our firm’s past involvement with similar cases. In fact, we recently successfully settled a case in North Carolina involving a little girl who was burned under very similar circumstances. In the Lugoff incident a little over a week ago, several students suffered serious injuries by what appeared to be hot coolant leaking into the cabin.

It’s not the first time it’s happened and, unless we do something, it may not be the last. If you know someone who was on that Lugoff bus, we’d like to hear from you. Call the Law Offices of William K. Goldfarb at 704-296-0055 or simply complete the “Contact Us” form on this website. You can find more information on our media page about similar cases that have occurred around the country. Also ‘like’ our Facebook page to receive updates on this issue and other topics that affect your life and safety.

This needs to end and we need your help to make it happen.

Monroe Lawyer Joins International Society

Attorney William Goldfarb Joins the Melvin M. Belli Society

He joins a prestigious group of trial lawyers in “By Invitation Only” society

In awarding Mr. Goldfarb membership, the Society’s executive director stated that it is a ‘great honor and privilege to welcome you as a member of The Melvin M. Belli Society. With membership, Mr. Goldfarb joins a select group of attorneys from around the globe dedicated to the principles of extraordinary client representation through education.

The Society was founded in 1981 by famed attorney Melvin M. Belli. Its purpose was, and is still, to promote the international exchange of ideas among lawyers through meetings and education. The Society has traveled to Germany, Cuba, the United Kingdom and other countries in pursuit of their goal. The Society also published the International Law Journal. Mr. Belli gained renown as an attorney through what was then considered unusual methods. In his first personal injury lawsuit, Mr. Belli represented an injured cable car gripman. Mr. Belli brought a large model of a cable car intersection and the gearbox and chain involved in the accident to demonstrate to jurors exactly what happened. His early use of photographs, movies, scale models, human skeletons and other devices was dramatic, riveting and highly effective, earning him the title “Father of Demonstrative Evidence.”

Mr. Goldfarb was officially accepted into membership at the Society’s meeting in Los Angeles on July 21. In accepting the honor, Mr. Goldfarb said, “I’m both very excited and honored that the board members of the Belli Society selected me to join their prestigious organization. I have always been fascinated by the creativity and successes that Melvin Belli exhibited in the courtroom. It brings me great pleasure to work with a Society comprised of such excellent lawyers throughout the United States who too enjoy sharing their success through teaching others to become better trial lawyers.” Mr. Goldfarb also stated, “Teaching other lawyers has become a large part of my practice at this point in my law career and I look forward to being a contributing member of the Society.”
